Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees oversees the management of the schools within Jennings County School Corporation and is the policy-making body. The board has overall responsibility for the curriculum, budget, employment of the superintendent and other professional staff, and facilities.

Public Participation at School Board Meetings

Recognizing its responsibility for proper governance of the schools and, therefore, the need to conduct its business in an orderly and efficient manner, the board president shall take responsibility for recognizing and requiring identification (name and address) of each speaker.

Comments and questions at a regular meeting may deal with any topic related to the board's conduct of the schools and related to the meeting topic. The board shall answer questions asked by the public immediately when possible or refer to staff members present for reply. The board may refer questions requiring investigation to board members or administrative staff for consideration and later response.

Our Board Members

The Jennings County School Corporation Board of Trustees is comprised of seven officials elected to represent our community’s commitment to a strong educational program. Members serve without compensation.
