A Message from Our Superintendent

Welcome to the Jennings County School Corporation! You have found your new home. In our school district, you will find educators and staff who work hard every day to provide our children with an exceptional education. To prepare for the 2020-2021 school year, we have reimagined education to respond to the global pandemic. Our staff has worked together to create our panthers prepare and care plan to respond to how our district will address health, safety, curriculum and instruction, social-emotional learning, and equity while offering both traditional and remote learning options.

We will also continue to concentrate on our three goals outlined in our strategic plan:

  • Keeping kids in school
  • Improving academic achievement and growth
  • Educating the whole child

Our staff has a commitment to provide innovative programming opportunities to meet the needs of all students. While our programming is evolving and expanding, it really isn’t the only reason for our success. Our district is becoming the school district of choice for one reason. It is our people. Whether you are working with our cafeteria, custodial, teaching, maintenance, administration, bus drivers, secretaries, paraprofessionals, nursing, or technology staff, you will find outstanding people who care about your children. We work together to provide our students with the support and encouragement they need to achieve their potential. For us, relationships are key, and we strive to create partnerships with our students and families that last a lifetime. The Jennings County Panthers are a family, and we take care of one another.

We know COVID-19 has caused anxiety and brought challenges to many in our community. We are doing our part to communicate and work with families to continue to provide our students with high quality academic instruction. Maintaining connections with our students and families is more important than ever. We will continue to search for opportunities to serve our families during these difficult times. As our world changes, we will continue to remain flexible and find innovative solutions to meet the needs of our students.

We invite you to join us on our mission of creating a world class education for our students. By working together as a community, we know anything is possible. We are stronger together! We are JC!

Please let me know how I can serve you,

Teresa Brown
