We follow state mandates regarding standardized assessment testing. These tests help us to measure student mastery of the Indiana Academic Standards.
Required Assessments
- ASSESSMENT VIDEOS FOR EDUCATORS AND PARENTS
- ISTEP+ Grades 3–8, 10
ISTEP measures student achievement in the subject areas of English/language arts, mathematics, science (grades 4, 6, and 10), and social studies (grades 5 and 7). Every Indiana student in the graduating class of 2019 and beyond must demonstrate mastery of the Indiana Academic Standards measured by the ISTEP+ Grade 10 English/Language Arts and Mathematics assessments. - IREAD-3
The purpose of the Indiana Reading Evaluation And Determination (IREAD-3) assessment is to measure foundational reading standards through grade three. Please read our letter to parents to understand more about the IREAD-3 Assessment. - ISTAR Alternate Assessments
Indiana Standards Tool for Alternate Reporting (ISTAR) is for students with significant cognitive disabilities. Assessment items are based on the grade level alternate standards to address a diverse population with a variety of needs. - WIDA: English Language Development Standards & Assessment
English Language Proficiency assessments determine a student's level of English proficiency. - ILEARN
This is an assessment tool to measure student achievement and growth according to Indiana Academic Standards for students in grades 3–8. - I AM
Indiana's Alternate Measure assesses achievement and growth for students with significant cognitive disabilities in grades 3–8. - NAEP
The National Assessment of Educational Progress is the largest nationally representative and continuing assessment of what America’s students know and can do in various subject areas. It is an important common metric for all states and selected urban districts. - ISTAR-KR Kindergarten Readiness Assessment
This measures skills in children from infancy to kindergarten.
