Registration & Immunizations
Whether your child is just beginning kindergarten or you’re new to our district, we welcome you to our school family. Here’s everything you need to know about registering a new student at one of our schools.
Kindergarten Enrollment
We provide a kindergarten program for students who are five years old on or before August 1 of the school year for which they are enrolling. This age requirement applies to children who transfer into the school corporation and who may have attended private or public kindergarten in another locality.
If a child seeking to enroll in first grade has not attended kindergarten, the superintendent shall make a determination as to whether the student will enroll in kindergarten or first grade based upon the assessment model found in the administrative guidelines.
Required Documentation
Please visit your child’s campus to complete a registration packet, and plan to bring the following documentation:
- Certified copy of birth certificate
- Immunization records
- Proof of legal guardianship (if applicable)
- Proof of residency (such as a current utility bill, bank statement, pay stub, lease, mortgage statement,driver’s license, voter registration card, or state I.D.)
